jennifer knits as chris cranks on a 10c at the gallery jon on the final chimney pitch of epinephrine jon cruises yak crack, a really nice 11c at the gallery. looking down into black velvet canyon from the 10th belay of epinephrine. my toe is pointing at two other climbers (actually friends of ours from the gym, each only a few black pixels) on another route that ascends the enormous black velvet slab. i'd guess that from this location we are about 1500 feet from the canyon floor.
quick topo check before heading up the 7th pitch of epinephrine. relaxing at the gallery scouting the descent from black velvet peak at dusk... not something you'd want to be doing an hour later. jennifer relaxes at the gallery, angle 3.
jon at the crimpy finish of yak crack (5.11c). nextdoor, another climber works on the gift (5.12d). climbing the last stretch of the juggy 'elephants trunk' at the end of epinephrine's sixth pitch. cool looking boulder on the trail to stratocaster wall working on gifts at the gallery.
massive cairns mark the way (and often the wrong way) down from black velvet peak. jon pulls the sick 5.3 mantle at the end of epinephrine's 10th pitch. jennifer -- hardwoman of the trinity alps -- easily dispatches the scramble down from stratocaster wall. kneebars abound in the horrendously fun chimneys of epinehprine.
jennifer works on the difficult start of a crappy 5.9 at the gallery. (this was her first outdoor 5.9!)
