christine and i had wanted to do serenity and sons, but realized that wasn't going to happen when we strolled up to the base around 11 AM.  there were 4 parties on the route, and 4 more waiting in line.  so we headed over to central pillar of frenzy (5.9) instead.  what a fantastic route.  each pitch has something different to offer.  here's christine cruising up p1, which is a mix of face, laybacking, and a few short squeeze chimney moves. oh and it was pretty cold in the shade.  incentive to climb fast!
the second pitch is a killer finger crack with many good jams, but it felt pretty sustained for 5.8.  fantastic pitch! near the top of p2 you can switch between two finger sized cracks...
the double cracks make for some really nice depth of field
pitch 4 follows another set of double cracks, this time more hand-sized than those on the second pitch.  this shot reminds me of a cory rich photo of beth rodden leading the phoenix.  of course a couple of things are different...
